Hi Pat,
Have you tried cleaning the printhead? If not please follow the steps below
Cleaning the Print Head Using the Product Control Panel
You can clean the print head using the control panel on your product.
-Load a few sheets of plain paper in the cassette (or in cassette 1 if your product has two cassettes).
-Press the home button, if necessary.
-Select Setup.
-Select Maintenance.
-Select Print Head Cleaning
-Select Proceed.
-Select the cleaning cycle you want to run based on the nozzle check pattern.
-Press the Color button. When the cleaning cycle is finished, you see a message on the screen.
-Select Print Nozzle Check Pattern.
-Press the Color button to confirm that the print head is clean.
Caution:
Never turn off the product during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it.
Note: If you don’t see any improvement after cleaning the print head up to 4 times, wait at least 6 hours. Then try cleaning the print head again. If quality still does not improve, one of the ink cartridges may be old or damaged and needs to be replaced.
Also, May I know what version of windows are you running?
Hi Pat,
I'll be offline and will be back 7PM EST. I'll check your response once I get back online to continue assisting you with your problem.
If you are responding electronically, why should I have to pay a phone upgrade? I wish to cancel the phone upgrade. I didn't know there was a charge and there was no opportunity to cancel.
I am using windows 10. Will try cleaning the heads.
Cleaning printer head seems to have worked.
Now, I still want refund on the phone upgrade. No one called, I did not know there was a charge before I clicked ok. Please refund.
