Hello Alison!

Since you bought a new Mac Mini - did you properly install printer drivers into the new Mac so your 2-sided option would come back?

And explain about the Seagate one more. Did you take off the cable from the mini mac before you properly ejected the Seagate disk?

Hello Alison!

Haven't heard from you for quite a few days..

And explain about the Seagate one more. Did you take off the cable from the mini mac before you properly ejected the Seagate disk?

If I turn the computer off if I am away from it more than a brief moment, then I do not get the "improperly ejected Seagate". Therefore I no longer use the "sleep" function.

My son got the printer to do double sided copies.

Great about the double sided printing.

Make sure you have the current drivers for your external drive.  If you updated your Mac OS X, it is wise to check for any updated drivers at www.seagate.com which could fix the problem youre experiencing.
