I did not have a chance to try what you suggested. I am going to close this as per James request, with the understanding, per him, that I can come back for more assistance from him without additional charge, and/or get my $ back if this does not resolve the problem. Obviously, he's rated on how fast he solves. The problem may or may not be solved at this point because I haven't been able to follow his instructions. I will. Thanks.

Dear Paul,

Thank you for your reply. Please know our Experts are not rated on how quickly the issue is resolved.

We'd like you to only click the 'Problem Solved' button if the issue has been resolved to your satisfaction.

James is correct about the fact that you may revisit this same page when you are back to seek continued support, at no additional charges. All you will need to do is post a new Comment here, and that will notify James you're back and available for support. Your question will remain open for up to 30 days from when it was asked and paid for.

And your question will remain covered by our 100% Money Back Guarantee for that period as well. We hope this helps clarify.

Regards,

What we would want to to is with the mail app open you want to go up to the apple menu bar and click on the mailboxes menu open at the top of the screen and then click on the option to make anew mailbox. Now when we do that it is going to prompt you to make a name for the folder and then it will also have where you want to save it. If you have an icloud account it might say icloud and in that case you will want to change that to where it just says "On My Mac." Once we have done that it will be shown in the mail app on the left side under the on my mac section. At this point all you need to to do is find the email that you want to keep and then drag them into the newly created mailbox and your done.

By doing that you are ensuring that those emails are now actually on the hard drive and on your email so if you ever accidentally remove the account or if you do intentionally you will still have those email in that file in the mail app always under the on my mac until you delete them yourself

I have found an alternative solution for you. Your Mac OS comes manufactured with its own email client service. You can simply setup the email client and the client automatically syncs with what ever email address you configure for it. Once the client is setup and has synced the email messages from your preferred email box, you will have a copy of your email messages in the email client, as long as you don't delete them. You also have the option of saving the messages from with in the client, to an external drive, such as a CD or USB drive. This is all features of the client, so therefore there will be no extra cost.
